We’ve all heard about intimate lockdown weddings and home weddings post covid, but you don’t know how gorgeous it can be till you’ve witnessed this!
Can lockdown weddings ever match up to our idea of glamorous big fat Indian weddings? Not just match, they can better it!
And to believe it, you’ve got to see Radhika and Yatin blissfully celebrating their bond of true love in the lap of nature…

Masters in Love!
After being classmates in their Masters, Radhika and Yatin became friends and gradually started dating when they shifted to Bangalore for their jobs.

Living in the same society in Bangalore, they were almost destined to be together! “It’s been 5 years since then and there has obviously been no looking back.” reveals Radhika.
The Lockdown Strikes

Before covid and lockdown struck, their original plan was to have the wedding at the Noida Gold Course, but fate had other plans! Radhika and Yatin had to switch their dates and venue due to the lockdown.

“Since most of the preparations were already done for the wedding – in terms of shopping and vendors, we stuck to the original plan as much as possible.” – quips Radhika.
They finally got hitched at Yatin’s farmhouse in Manesar on 26th June and the setting was as ethereal as it gets!

Wedding photography team The Wedding Matinee did an excellent job of capturing their precious moments beautifully.
Post Covid Impact?

They limited their guest list to only immediate family and very close friends for a truly intimate yet memorable affair. Din Shagna Da helped plan their covid safe wedding with thermal screening of all staff, use of masks and sanitizers, and making sure the venue was properly sanitized before the event.

“Luckily, the major wedding shopping was completed just before the lockdown started.”
Who doesn’t want a wedding filled with all the treasures and delights that you’ve always dreamed of… But our couple believed that “beauty is in the little things” and they managed with whatever they had at home to make their wedding as gorgeous and memorable as it could get!

From limiting food items to maintaining strict hygiene and adhering to all post covid norms – this couple ticked all the right check-boxes.
“Because of pandemic, we were a little skeptical in calling a mehendi artist since we did not know anyone near the farmhouse.” – says Radhika.

So guess who took up the task? Her sister! And it was just overwhelming when they actually got to relive their childhood stories about how she’d do the mehendi for her sister on her wedding <3
Their Au Natural Farmhouse Wedding

“I always wanted our wedding look to be very close to our personalities in daily life”

For the wedding, Radhika exuded the old world charm of beauty in simplicity in her lovely gold silk saree paired with a pink blouse. Evergreen gold jewellery and and center parted hair made her look as real as brides come 🙂 Just like she always wanted – simple and minimal.

Twinning with his bride in shades of pink and gold, Jatin wore a soothing kurta paired with a stole.

We love how the pink and gold roses all around totally complement the couple in their hues and simplicity alike!

We’re falling head over heels for this refreshing mandap made out of green vines, leaves, white, pink and yellow roses and baby’s breath!

You can’t miss how our couple is enjoying every moment together in such a divine setting!

The décor details were taken care by Sakshi Gupta and are really the perfect DIY idea for your own garden or home wedding, we’d say!

Most special thing your fiance did during the wedding?

My fiancé (now Husband 😉) has two left feet and has never danced before for an audience! But since I love to dance, he made an effort to dance with me on our Sangeet which was really the best wedding gift for not just me but for our families also <3
What NOT should brides do at lockdown weddings?
Every girl has a vision about her perfect dream wedding and wants to make that a reality. Given the lockdown, a lot of things might not be possible!

I think all post covid brides should be flexible enough to adjust with the current situation and try to make the best out of whatever is available.
And believe me, if you are marrying the right person, everything will turn out better than what you could ever hope for!

Decor can be breathtaking and your home garden or farmhouse can also be your perfect venue as as you’ll have less number of guests. So brainstorm on ideas and sit with your photographer and planner to make it amazing.
Sanitization – Most most most important!
Everyone should feel safe to really enjoy the moments. We had the team of ‘sanitisemywedding’ who did everything seamlessly and undertook continuous sanitization of all the contact points and places.
