Looking for bridal outfit inspirations? Supercool dancer couple Vedarsha and Yuthika’s beautiful outfits at their South Africa wedding is everything you need to see!
From their first meeting at dance rehearsals to their intimate wedding, here we take you through their fairytale journey! & you’ll get your dose of awesome bridal outfit inspirations on the way, all right…
Two to Tango!
Being dancers, Vedarsha and Yuthika’s love story started when their choreographers played cupid and always paired them up as dance partners.
Their on-stage chemistry grew into a “real thing” and 12 years later, they finally tied the knot in the middle of a raging pandemic!
Magical Mehendi, Fairytale Mehendi Outfits!
The wedding celebrations took off with an intimate home mehendi for Yuthika and we can’t get over how dreamy she looked in a lilac skirt and crop top with ruffled sleeves paired with a floral tiara. Luckily, she had made a shopping trip to India in Nov 2019, just before the pandemic broke out!
Don’t you love how she went minimal with light dewy makeup and pretty jhumkas for her own mehendi.
For the bigger mehendi ceremony, she wore a vibrant pink lehenga with gold zardozi jaal and a beautiful jaal dupatta.
Her lovely floral bangles, oversized ring and pretty waterfall jhumkas are a must see!
The best part of our wedding was that we danced every single day, whether choreographed or spontaneous!

Super Sangeet
For the glam sangeet night, Yuthika wore a stunning icy blue lehenga with bell sleeves, mirror work and embroidery in pink.
Handsome groom Vedarsha totally complemented her in a blue kurta paired with icy grey detailing on his achkan.
Quite expectedly, the sangeet stage was lit up by fabulous performances by the bride and the lovely couple!
Say Hello to a Yellow Haldi!
The haldi ceremony, too, was an extremely intimate affair. But that doesn’t mean it missed anything from vibrant decor to colour bombs or the most gorgeous outfits!
Our beautiful bride dolled up in a pretty pastel yellow saree with colourful threadwork all over and a statement belt to show off her dainty waistline!
The loose fishtail braid hairdo with a sixties style puff, and a stunning maangtika almost stole the show!
And you can’t miss the retro style green glass bangles and cute floral kaleere.
We loved the beautiful jhoola decked up in genda phool, the floral Ganesha backdrop and the yellow windcatchers.
All the dancing to the beats of dholi and colorful smoke bombs wasn’t just fun that day, but also created beautiful memories forever.
Bridal Outfit Ideas from the Wedding
For the wedding lehenga, Yuthika chose an elegant blend of traditional red and ivory with hues of pretty pink florals.
The custom-made Chamee and Palak  wedding lehenga came alive with an intricate blouse and a delicate jewelled kamarband.
She completed her look with pretty kundan jewellery, a double haar and double dupatta!
Nude lips, smokey eyes and the quintessential floral bun completed her day bride look. And when your besties are by your side, you can’t stop smiling on your big day, can you!
The groom looked dapper in a classic white sherwani, and they smiled away for the shutterbugs in front of a color coded red and white mandap.
Isn’t this a perfect capture of the ‘just married’ couple.
P.S. Yuthika means jasmine & that’s why she wanted a jasmine decked mandap!
Soon after the wedding rituals, the lovely couple ducked away for a romantic couple photoshoot, creating memories that are worth cherishing forever.
When it comes to the wedding decor, we simply love the mogra and orchid laden mandap and the banana leaf table setup.
You know how everything happens for a reason. Vedarsha and Yuthika’s wedding got postponed due to the raging pandemic, but the intimate wedding they had later was “a week long dance party” and much much more than they could’ve ever dreamt of.
As our bride rightly says,
“Each day was filled with pure joy and celebration, surrounded by our nearest and dearest, making it extremely special!”
Most special thing your fiance did during the wedding?
He wrote me a letter which he recorded himself reading as a voice note! He sent this to me the evening before festivities began. I found myself listening to it every night until the wedding day 🙂
Top ideas that made your post covid wedding a superhit!
-Smaller numbers of guests mean more time to spend with your fiance! We ENJOYED it together and tried to eat together at every event 🙂
-Plan some photo ops with your special people! Smoke bombs are awesome for this.
-Spontaneous dances! Dance together and don’t forget to record it for the memories.
-For the mehendi, we got “team bride” and “team groom” applied for our guests.
-Choose a colour for the bride’s side and groom’s side for the wedding day and ask your immediate family to come dressed in shades of this colour. It makes for great pictures.
Vedarsha and Yuthika’s wedding, no doubt, seems right out of a fairytale with lots of steal-worthy stuff from gorgeous bridal outfit ideas to DIY decor!
