At the risk of sounding “too open”, this rock-star couple admits they first hit it off as work partners, then became friends, and even tried setting each other up with others before ultimately graduated to ‘friends with benefits’! As a couple, we’re so much fun that if spotted by an unknown, we might be mistaken to be siblings, as ridiculous as it may sound :p
Their proposal was just how she wanted “Real, with no extra drama and just the basics of love”. In the middle of watching a cricket match on TV while on a work trip, Sushant walked up to her and said “I think we make great roommates… maybe we should be roommates for life?” and that was it!

Right when they started their wedding planning, Pratha and Sushant knew they wanted a sustainable wedding with an eco-friendly venue, reusable materials and minimal use of plastics.
“Whoever said that a big fat Indian wedding has to be a certain way, would be in for a surprise at this wedding! Little tweaks were made to the usual cliche methods of carrying out a wedding, only to make sure that our wedding festivities emit the least amount of carbon footprint.”

“My cocktail gown was from a local Melbourne store, but I soon changed into my favorite outfit – a bride t-shirt and a golden lehenga… That outfit was who I really am!!”
More power to our bridechilla who chose comfort over everything else and decided to let her hair down to simply enjoy the best days of her life!
Mehendi & Haldi
I wanted to go light so I could dance and drink at my mehndi and sangeet, be comfortable and enjoy!
Pratha is a self-admitted “crazy dog lover”, so her mehendi had a dog on one hand and a globe on the other to show how much she loves to travel! And with Sushant’s name scattered all over the globe <3

Step Up for Sangeet
For her Sangeet, Pratha donned a beautiful crop top with a benarasi lehenga and ikkat jacket from Label Anushree – keeping it comfortable enough to dance and enjoy!
Her dewy natural makeup and statement maangtika completed the “au naturel” look!
Sushant looked dapper as he twinned in his beige kurta paired with a floral bandhgala jacket.
To be honest, their sizzling chemistry and devil may care attitude is what we can’t take our eyes off!

The Green Wedding Day!
Pratha looked absolutely breathtaking in this classic red Sabyasachi saree which she “found” just 10 days before the wedding day!
“I wanted to wear my mother’s wedding saree but it wasn’t in a state to be re-worn”. Then she searched markets and cities for her perfect outfit till she found ‘the one’ at Sabyasachi – to her utmost surprise! (“Cos I’m not the type to pump in money on a very expensive outfit, if you can’t wear it again!”)
Subtle makeup, bold eyes and her stunning kundan and pearl jewellery completely complemented her regal wedding look.
Sushant looked equally charming in his pure white embroidered sherwani, but it’s their chemistry that takes the cake again!
This ‘dog lover’ couple couldn’t have missed getting tons of fun and cuddly pictures with their dearies, could they?!
Sticking to the sustainable idea for their wedding, they chose everything reusable and green to decorate their wedding venue.
Don’t you louuvvve the entire green vibe of this mandap, decorated with reusable fabrics, twigs, green potted plants and earthen matkis!

The Mayan Wedding in a Forest!
Pratha’s dream of having a super intimate wedding came true on their honeymoon in the Mexican jungles.
Surrounded by friendly deer and tons of birds, it was just the two of them in the middle of a jungle and exchanging vows with tears in their eyes!
They then went snorkeling in a private cenote to celebrate…”It was surreal, unreal or whatever you call it… and made me feel like the most loved person in the world!” shares Pratha.
