Very recently, we at ZoWed set Bridal Jewelry & Wedding Fashion goals high with an editorial shoot in partnership with leading jeweler Manubhai Jewels and designer Payal Singhal… watch, save and swoooooon!
Bridal Jewelry & Wedding Fashion Ideas with Manubhai Jewellers & Payal Singhal!
Earlier this summer, we were in fashion capital Mumbai and happened to visit Manubhai Jewellers flagship store in Borivli.
To be honest, we fell head over heels in love with their stunning bridal jewelry collection. It made us want to get married, again! But sanity reigned and we decided to do a stylish shoot focusing on this gorgeous collection, with famed candid photographers Little Big Weddings and some lucky real to-be brides and their besties thrown in.
We sat down and defined a very pastel ethereal romantic look for the shoot and scouted around for designers whose bridal and wedding collections matched with what we had in mind.
And soon we were knocking at the super talented and acclaimed designer Payal Singhal‘s store to find her latest wedding line a perfect match with our vision!
Down to the Details!
Since we wouldn’t compromise on the look, we finalized none but the best – Bridal makeup artist Varsha Gidwani (Dramaeinbaaz) as our on site mua and hairstylist Ritika Kadam to doll up the lucky girls.
Being complete social media junkies, we dived straight into an online contest inviting applications for the shoot – and began the process of shortlisting 2 sets of lucky brides and their bridesmaids from the hundreds of entries pouring in. Here’s them, say helloooooo!
Bride to-be Deepali Gaba with her “most gorgeous and fun loving” bff’s Roma & Karishma. “Without my adorable bridesmaids I would totally be incomplete!” says Deepali.
And our banker bride to-be Sanah Bijlani with her life support, cousins and besties – Ms. Social Butterfly Ahika and Korea based vegan soul Mehr!
For everything else that followed, we have fabulous pictures by Pooja, Madhura and Harsha of Little Big Weddings that speak for themselves…
And voila… We louuuve the transformation! We’re flooored – from the stunning hairdo’s and glittery hair accessories to the picture perfect makeup – we can say you can’t do without the right dolling up team on your big day.
Decoding Look 1 – Deepali & her Bridesmaids!
Our bride to-be Deepali and her besties looked gorgeous in their stunning and glittery outfits in shades of gold, ivory , champagne and black!
Bridal Jewelry Ideas!
Deepali’s super stunning kundan set by Manubhai jewellers is what got us hooked in the first place!
From the dollops of green on the neckalce and jhumkas to the green meenawork on the maangtika, the hint of green on the bangles to the perfectly color coded green & white rose bouquet – we love how it all adds up for a perfect look!
And not just kundan, we louuuve how classically Manubhai has merged fine pearls on these pieces – from the bride’s kada to her besties bracelet!
And for sisters of the bride who want something chic and trendy – these statement gold chokers by Manubhai Jewellers are just sooooo perfect!
And if you’re a mala person, you’ll adore these colored panna malas with statement pearl and kundan pendants.
Isn’t that earring just perfect to wear with a moti mala!
Wedding Fashion Trends!
Let’s talk about what our favorite girls wore from designer Payal Singhal‘s closet!
Bride Deepali wore this shimmering layered lehenga in shades of ivory and silver – with net and brocade details on the layers, intricate cutwork on the blouse and a chequered border net dupatta.
We’re in love with the perfect amalgamation of geometric and traditional design elements and think this lehenga is jussssst right for your Sangeet or Reception!
The intricately embellished cut-work on that blouse is to die for!
If you’re going to be a bridesmaid and you love softer colors, you’ll adore Roma’s asymmetric block printed ivory skirt paired with a contrast black blouse and sheer net dupatta – her statement gold jewelry is all that she needs to complete that look!
But if you like playing it bold, yet you’ve got to maintain the team bride color code – see how Karishma’s outfit simply reverses the colors for a striking look! Her trendy black geometric gotawork lehenga is perfectly contrasted with a classic ivory blouse in brocade and topped with a light sheer dupatta.
Together, these girls are slaying it, we say!
And team Little Big Weddings has perfectly captured their love, kisses and chemistry forever.
Decoding Look 2 – Wedding Fashion with Sanah & her Bridesmaids!
Our bride to-be Sanah and her besties made themselves at home in this rich setting and we can’t stop swooning over this shot!
Smart and sexy Sanah oooooozed style in this Payal Singhal lehenga with geometric applique work on the skirt paired with an antique zardozi blouse and a minty blue net dupatta!
Aren’t the details on that blouse just tooooo pretty!
While her besties toned in down and twinned perfectly – Mehr knocking it out in a rich benarasi lehenga and bustier blouse…
and Ahika looking ethereal in a delicate net lehenga with a sweetheart blouse!
Look 2 – Wedding Jewelry Decoded!
Our bride-to-be Sanah’s gold ghungroo set with kundan karigari and raviphool gold belt is the most delicately exquisite thing we’ve ever laid our eyes on!
Paired with the perfectly matching chandbalis from Manubhai Jewellers Bridal Collection – it looked divine.
All you need are some classic gold bangles and an oversized ring – and your bridal look is complete!
And if you’re a sister of the bride looking for some statement jewellery with pastel hues – look no further!
Oh what can we say about Mehr’s super gorgeous gold choker with intricate karigari – dolled up with bunches of keshi pearls and semi precious emerald beads to die for!!!
Needless to say, these lucky girls had a blast getting captured and simply reveling in all that gorgeous glory!
Classy Venue & Pastel Perfect Decor Goals!
Our fabulous venue partner Blue Sea Banquets is prominently located right at Worli Sea Face and boasts of an open air water front adjoining the pillar-free 5200 sq. ft banquet hall – just the kind of wedding venue you need in a city like Mumbai!
It gave us a wide variety of backdrops and settings for the fashion shoot – from a perfectly huge hall to beautiful staircases, gold hued curtains and starry lit ceilings!
To add to the magic, ZoWed together with our decor partner Aditi of Fireflies Decor had envisaged a very subtle pastel floral and minimalistically luxurious theme to the whole shoot.
We did primarily two decor setups – one was this boho chic tent feel thingy for a fun event where you’re lounging and playing games with your friends and family at say your mehendi brunch or before your beach sundowner…
Our girls loved playing a game of scrabble at this scene as much as they went crazy posing and pouting!
Cos who doesn’t love a li’l floral something behind them…
Didn’t this pretty floral decor come out just perfect!
And these pretty vintage details are worth noting!
The other look was this luxurious bed spread with loads of glamour – velvety cushions, crystal candelabras, golden touches and floral vases!
The girls lounged around in this space like it was their own and felt at home…
So much so that these shots came out beautifully candid!
Bridal Makeup & Hair Essentials
From a dolled up bun for the bride to soft curls for her besties, we’re going gaga over hairstylist Ritika Kadam’s expertise in creating perfect hairdo’s for every lady at our shoot.
P.S. – Hasn’t makeup artist Dramaeinbaaz done some fabulous eye makeup here for our girls!
Those pastel minty eyes that match perfectly with her outfit to Sanah’s sizzling midnight blue eyes – we’re simply awestruck!
And Sanah’s hairdo is totally droooooolworthy… what say!
Time to say Ciao!
As these gorgeous girls spent a day posing, pouting, helping and cheering each other – they made friends for life!
And the memories captured will stay with them forever.
As we say ciao, we’ll leave you with some more fabulous inspirations from this shoot – fashion ideas, jewellery trends, decor goals or makeup markups – you can go crazy pinning and sharing these lovelies!
